Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's athletic talent was apparent from the time she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition, she placed in the top two in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix was signed to a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by taking 200m in 22.18 second. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest world champion of 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, defeating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top three in all of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
